Vivevo a Singapore da poco più di due anni quando ho iniziato a raccogliere queste storie. Era un periodo in cui la mia prospettiva stava cambiando e volevo concentrarmi solo su cose e persone veramente importanti, quelle che portavano spessore e significato nella mia vita.
Da qui e’ incominciata una appassionata ricerca di autenticità in tutto ciò che avevo accumulato negli anni: relazioni, passioni, memorie, le preoccupazioni che mi tenevano sveglia la notte ed i pensieri che mi guidavano durante la giornata. Mentre ripercorrevo ogni oggetto, cartolina, regalo e foto, ho sentito la necessita’ crescente di prendere una pausa ed assaporare uno dei più semplici e affascinanti sentimenti dell’esperienza umana: l’amore romantico. Ho cosi’ deciso di approcciare delle persone e domandar loro di condividere le esperienze di vita che hanno formato la loro prospettiva su questa emozione indefinibile e senza tempo. Private Collection: Amore Normale, e’ una speciale antologia di storie di vita e d’amore, collezionate come mio personale tributo all’amore. Storie di persone di diverse eta’, con vissuti diversi che provengono da tutto il mondo. I nomi ed i luoghi sono stati cambiati per proteggere le identità individuali.
I had been living in Singapore for just over two years when I started collecting these stories.
It was during a time when my perspective was shifting, and I wanted to concentrate on the things and people who really mattered, the ones worth keeping, the ones who brought depth and meaning to my life.
Eventually, this led to a passionate search for authenticity in everything I had accumulated over the years: relationships, passions, memories, the worries that kept me up at night and the thoughts that drove me during the day.
Going through every object, card, gift and photo, I felt the increasing need to pause and savour one of the simplest yet most beautiful feelings within the human experience: romantic love. As part of my quest, I approached people and asked them to share the life experiences that have shaped their unique perspectives of this timeless and undefinable emotion.
Private Collection: Amore Normale, or normal love in Italian, is a special anthology of life stories and love stories, compiled as my personal tribute to love. Featuring people from different ages, backgrounds and places around the world. Names and locations have been changed to protect the individual identities.
